Solis Power manages all the phases of and activities associated with the development of large, utility-scale solar power plants. These phases include:
Business plan development Solis Power utilizes its detailed plant cost, operation and productivity mathematical models that take into account local taxation laws to develop accurate business plans for the development of solar PV power plants.
Plant site land acquisition By means of its extensive network of realtors and site hunters on the ground, Solis Power seeks out and selects the best sites for solar power plant development based on many important criteria. Once identified, Solis Power negotiates the purchase or the lease of the land with the land owner, and ensures that the proper contractual obligations are in place to secure land rights for the uniquely long timeframes associated with power plant operation.
Power plant design In the case of photovoltaic installations, Solis Power performs the power plant design activities including electrical and mechanical design and PV array layout.
Acquisition of grid interconnection rights Solis Power manages the process of applying for grid interconnection rights with the local electricity company ensuring that the grid will have the capacity and legal obligation to accommodate the power plant at the chosen point of interconnection.
Acquisition of building, environmental and other permits Solis Power manages the entire permitting process with local authorities to obtain all building, environmental and other authorizations and permits required by law for the construction and operation of the power plant.
After the above phases have been completed, the plant is ready for construction to begin.
Power plant construction Solis Power partners with world class solar power plant construction and panel manufacturing companies to build the power plant.
Power plant operation Solis Power partners with local companies with the necessary expertise or the plant construction company itself to provide the end customer with power plant operation services.
